Animal extinction due to climate change

Previous extinction waves were mainly caused by volcanic eruptions and meteorites. However, it is believed that climate changes will greatly affect the next extinction.

Occurring Issues

Numerous animal species have gone extinct or endangered. Most known reason is by habitat loss, over exploitation, invasive species and these issues can come directly from climate change.

With rising temperatures, wildfires are occurring more frequently which destroy forests, leaving the animals no choice but to escape or die. Forcing them to migrate and find new habitat can be difficult for adaptation, causing gene mutation that changes their behaviors and physiology. While that may sound good, these factors can lead to shorter life spans, physical changes that prevent them to move around easily, new food adaptation causing malnutrition, etc.

Some of the ways that currently help this issue consist of animal rehabilitation. Providing shelter, food and habitat adaptation before these animals can regain their previous home. For more help, each linked articles have different information and different aid you may be able to provide.
